Salmon Burgers

Looking for a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional burgers? Try our mouth-watering salmon burger! Packed with fresh salmon, zesty herbs, and a hint of citrus, this burger is not only nutritious but also bursting with flavor. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a weekend cookout, this salmon burger will satisfy your cravings and impress your guests.


INGREDIENTS:


1 7.75 oz. can of Dave’s Salmon

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs

1 egg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon grated lemon peel

1/2 teaspoon rosemary, crushed

1/8 teaspoon pepper

Vegetable oil

Garnishes (see below)


Drain and flake salmon, reserving 2 tablespoons.of liquid.


Combine salmon, onion, bread crumbs, egg, reserved liquid, lemon juice, lemon peel, and seasonings, mix well.


Form mixture into four or five patties.


Pan fry in lightly oiled skillet for about 5 minutes or until lightly browned; turn halfway through cooking time.


Serve on soft bun with your choice of toppings: Sliced tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions, cheese, mustard, catsup, tartar sauce, mayonnaise, dressing, etc.

YIELD: Makes 4 or 5 servings.
